Rigorous Training.
No Compromises.

Who We Are
Studio Acting Conservatory is the premier training institution for actors and directors in Washington, DC.
For the past 50 years, we have provided rigorous, professional training in realism, classics, styles, and directing to over 12,000 actors and directors. We are extremely proud of our alumni, many of whom have gone on to careers in theatre, film, and television.

What we do
At Studio Acting Conservatory, we provide a place for students of every age and background to learn and train, with gritty, intense, rigorous work. Our acting curriculum is grounded in realism – the necessary bedrock for all actors – with the study of realistic playing and characterization, classical technique, and a range of styles, supplemented by essential classes focusing on the voice and body. The work we do encourages discovery and ignites the imagination, and the three-year curriculum, flexible structure, and affordable tuition provides a unique pipeline for serious artists outside graduate degree programs.
