This Privacy Policy governs the manner in which Studio Acting Conservatory (“SAC” or “We”) collects, uses, maintains, and discloses information collected from and/or about individuals with whom we interact (“You” or “Users”), including 1) users of the SAC website; 2) people who email with us; 3) people with whom we speak by phone; 4) people who communicate with us via print materials; 5) people who engage with us in person; and 6) people who engage with us through third party applications.
Types of Information SAC Collects
Non-Personally Identifiable Information
SAC collects non-personally identifiable information about you whenever you visit the Website. Such information may include your Internet Protocol (IP) address (a number that is automatically assigned by your internet service provider to the computer you use). SAC collects personally identifiable information from Users when they voluntarily provide such information, online or offline. This includes, but is not limited to, when a User submits an inquiry form; calls, emails, texts or communicates with SAC in person; registers for a class; makes a donation; or rents our space.
This information may include, but is not limited to, names, email addresses, telephone numbers, mailing addresses, payment information, preferred means of communication, gender, health information (as needed for class/workshop participation), class history and interests, history of interactions with SAC. SAC may use third parties to provide updates and supplemental information about Users.

Use of Information We Collect
SAC uses Users’ personal information to improve the Website and its offerings, class offerings, and develop new classes, workshops, and other programming. We also use Users’ personal information for the purpose for which the information was provided (for example, to register you for a class, contact you with requested information, or to process a donation or facility rental). In addition, we use your personal information to communicate with you regarding current and future classes and other programming, special offers, and to solicit support. The contact information and class history of any User who registers for a class will be shared with their instructor(s); limited contact information will be shared with fellow classmates for class communication purposes. SAC also uses the personal information we collect for our internal purposes, such as data analysis and determining the effectiveness of our promotional campaigns, as well as data for reporting and application purposes for grants and other funding.
If you provide us with your email address, you will be added to SAC’s email mailing list and will receive email communications from us unless you opt out. If at any time you wish to stop receiving these communications, please follow the unsubscribe instructions at the bottom of any of these emails, send an email to info@studioactingconservatory.org, call (202) 232-0714, or write to: Studio Acting Conservatory, 3423 Holmead Pl, NW, Washington DC 20010 and ask to be removed from SAC’s email list.
If you provide your mobile number to SAC and opt into our SMS list, you will receive occasional SMS messages from SAC. Message and data rates may apply. If at any time you wish to stop receiving these messages, reply STOP to cancel at any time.
By registering for a class, workshop, or other event, a User consents to receive necessary communications via email, phone, or SMS (if opted in) by SAC staff and/or faculty.
Protection of User Information
SAC adopts appropriate data collection, storage, processing practices, and security measures to help protect against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction of your personal information. SAC’s payment processing systems are all PCI compliant and SAC does not store your credit card information without User consent. Unfortunately, no data transmission or storage system is guaranteed to be 100 percent secure. Sharing Personal Information
SAC uses third-party service providers to help operate our Website and administer activities, such as collecting donations online, registering Users for classes, workshops, or other events. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties, provided that the foregoing does not apply to sharing 1) with vendors, consultants, and other service providers who need access to such information to carry out work on our behalf (and who will not use such information for their own purposes); 2) if we believe disclosure is required by any applicable law, rule, or regulation or to comply with law enforcement or legal process.

California Privacy Rights
If you reside in California and have provided your personally identifiable information to SAC, you may request information once per calendar year about our disclosures of certain categories of your personally identifiable information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes.
