Singer’s Process

Class Overview

The Singer’s Process workshop provides a foundational understanding of the basics of singing in regard to posture, breathing, vocal registers, freeness of sound, and emotional expression through sound. Participants will gain a deeper understanding of what physically happens when we sing, how to access all parts of one’s singing voice, how to use creative exercises to free the body and voice, how to use rhythm, melody, lyrics, and emotion to learn and express a song. Emphasis will include guiding each participant to discover the strengths and authenticity of their own singing voice and how to apply this knowledge when learning and presenting a song.
