Shakespeare I

Class Overview

Shakespeare I introduces classical acting techniques, focusing on vocal development and specificity, diction, physical clarity, textual interpretation, as well as the use of imagery and tone color, useful for all actors. Students work on a character from Shakespeare in monologues, soliloquys, and scenes.

Classical Voice & Movement is recommended to pair with Shakespeare I.

Prerequisites needed: Completion of Character & Emotion.

Students taking Shakespeare 1 should take or have already taken Classical Voice & Movement.

A $100 registration fee will hold your place for any class on the schedule.

Students pairing an acting class with a voice and body class in the same semester will receive a $125 discount.
