Directing
Class Overview
Directing is intended to enhance the skills and understanding of actors, directors, playwrights, and filmmakers. Through a series of lectures and scene presentations, the class focuses on script analysis and preparation, blocking and movement, business, uses of improvisation and working with actors, rhythm and tempo, theatrical organization, auditioning, and the integration of all aspects of technical theatre.

Prerequisites needed: Application and approval of instructor. Call 202.232.0714 for details. Students are accepted to Directing at the discretion of the instructor. Applying does not guarantee a place in class.

- Why you would like to take this course
- Your background and experience
- A directing or acting resume if you have one
- Your availability & preference between Tue. or Wed. classes
- If you are requesting financial aid, your need for assistance
Application Deadline: 6pm, August 21
A $100 registration fee will hold your place for any class on the schedule.
