Shakespeare for Young Actors

Class Overview

Shakespeare for Young Actors is a class for advanced young students, aged 12-17. In addition to weekly work on creative exercises such as pantomimes and improvisations, students work on Shakespearean monologues and scenes utilizing modern Play On Shakespeare text.

Students must register for the Young Actors Ensemble and then be placed into this class during the audition. Placement is at the teachers’ discretion. Interested students should register and indicate their preference on the registration forms sent later.

In order to participate in the Fall Young Actors Ensemble, a Young Actors Registration Form or Young Actors Scholarship Application must be submitted on behalf of the student no later than September 9, 2026.
