Auditioning
Class Overview
Auditioning teaches students the nuts and bolts of how to audition for professional work. Work on audition monologues – both contemporary and classical, each in comic and serious modes – to build a repertoire of audition material with attention to individual selection and professional presentation. Students gain the skills to prepare sides, develop cold-reading skills, and review the basics of self-taping for auditions. The class also includes development of headshots and resumes, as well as a working knowledge of the business side of acting.
