Class Overview

This is a class focusing on the development of the great Modernists: Beckett from Ireland, Pinter from England, Albee and Mamet in America. Students are challenged by interpreting scenes from these often controversial playwrights, beginning with experiments in the work of Caryl Churchill. The class includes both lectures and scene work.

Dialects is recommended as a pairing with Beckett, Pinter, Albee, Mamet.

A $100 registration fee will hold your place for any class on the schedule.

Students pairing an acting class with a voice and body class in the same semester receive a $125 discount.
