
Comedy
Class Overview
Comedy is an advanced class focusing on comic vocal and physical technique and style. Students explore comedy through exercises, clowning, and scene work in four periods: Modern Comedy, Comedy of Wit and Manners, Shakespeare and Molière, and Commedia dell’arte.
For the Fall 2026 semester, Comedy will begin on Wednesday, September 9th, but the second class will be held on Monday, September 14th. After that point, class will meet regularly on Wednesdays, as scheduled. Please inform a staff member if you wish to register but are not available for this Monday second class.

Prerequisites needed: Completion of Greek Tragedy.
A $100 registration fee will hold your place for any class on the schedule.
Students pairing an acting class with a voice and body class in the same semester receive a $125 discount.
