Dialects

Class Overview

Dialects introduces actors to the fundamentals of performing in accents or dialects. Students build their listening and imitation skills, learn warm up processes, and how to utilitize online dialect resources, as well as the International Phonetic Alphabet. This class includes work on up to four dialects for the stage.

Dialects is recommended to pair with several classes that include work in dialect, but can be taken at any time or point within the curriculum.
