Standard Stage Speech

Class Overview

Standard Stage Speech is designed to provide tools and strategies for speakers with regional or foreign accents who want to increase intelligibility and broaden their range as actors. Students learn basic and advanced tools for accent modification and dialect acquisition, including: articulation warm-ups, speech anatomy, and the International Phonetic Alphabet. These tools are applied to text using the General American Dialect.
