Contemporary Black Playwrights Workshop with Otis Ramsey Zöe – August 12, 2023

Join dramaturg and director Otis Ramsey Zöe for a workshop exploring the dramatic lineage of Black playwrights by focusing in on the shoulders upon which these dramatists stand. Participants will discuss such writers as Ed Bullins, Alice Childress, Owen Dodson, Zora Neale Hurston, Adrienne Kennedy, and their influence on contemporary American playwrights like Branden Jacobs-Jenkins, Terrell Alvin McCraney, Christina Anderson, Robert O’Hara, and Suzan-Lori Parks.
